USA Today Best Financial Advisory Firms

We’ve got some exciting news. Earlier this year USA TODAY released its list of the Best Financial Advisory Firms in America. We were looking at it out of curiosity, always interested to know more about the advisors in our industry who are doing great work. But it was by accident that we found that we were on that list: the top 500 advisory firms in the country. As we scrolled through the list, it came as a surprise to find that we are ranked 265^th in the country, 8^th in Colorado, and the only firm on the Western Slope to make the list. We didn’t nominate ourselves or pay to be on the list. We don’t have any insiders in the national media to slip our name into the mix. We are just working hard, and it’s apparently paid off.

We should clarify one thing. Finding ourselves on a national list was unexpected, but it wasn’t a complete surprise. You see, before we got to where we are, a bunch of families from all over the country worked hard, saved diligently and made good decisions with their finances. Then a friend or trusted professional told them to come talk to us and they placed their trust in us to help protect and expand on what they had already built. When you work with great people – and we work with some amazing people - it’s no great surprise when you accomplish great things. We also have a team of incredibly talented people who all deserve awards for the work they do every day. In other words, we knew we had a good reputation in Western Colorado, we just didn’t know that reputation was being recognized nationally.

It is a great honor to receive this award, and we are proud to share it. But it doesn’t change much for us. We’ll keep doing what we’ve been doing. We’ll work hard to serve our clients. We’ll give generously to our community. And we’ll love every stop of the journey.

So once again, thank you to all of our clients. Thank you to our other local professionals who trust us enough to send people our way. Thank you to our whole team for caring so deeply about the success of our clients. We couldn’t have done this without you.

Cimarron Wealth Management has been awarded on USA TODAY’s list of the Best Financial Advisory Firms 2024. This prestigious award is presented by USA TODAY and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on April 24^th, 2024, and can be viewed on USATODAY.COM.

The Best Financial Advisory Firms 2024 awarded the top registered investment advisory (RIA) firms in the United States based on two dimensions:

1. Recommendations from financial advisors, clients, and industry experts:
Recommendations were collected via an independent survey among over 25,000 individuals. Clients, industry experts, and financial advisors working for an RIA firm could recommend the RIA firms they find commendable.
2. Development of Assets under Management (AUM):
Both short-term (12-month) and long-term (5-year) AUM development were analyzed using publicly available data.

Based on the results of the study, Cimarron Wealth Management is ecstatic to be recognized on USA TODAY’s list of the Best Financial Advisory Firms 2024.

Statista publishes hundreds of worldwide industry rankings and company listings with high-profile media partners. This research and analysis service is based on the success of statista.com, the leading data and business intelligence portal that provides statistics, relevant business data, and various market and consumer studies and surveys.

*The ranking was tabulated by market research firm Statista to rank the top 500 RIA firms. The ranking of the best (“RIA Firms”), published in April 2024, is based on two dimensions: recommendations by peer financial advisors, clients as well as industry experts and a firm’s development of AUM. Recommendations were collected via an independent survey among over 25,000 individuals. Clients, industry experts and financial advisors working for an RIA firm could recommend another RIA firm they find commendable. Self-recommendations were prohibited and were therefore not included in the evaluation. AUM development was analyzed both in the short- and long-term using publicly available data. Short-term AUM development was calculated over a twelve-month period from January 2023 to January 2024, while long-term development spanned a five-year period from January 2019 to February 24, 2024 with the ADV data being as of 12/31 each year. The final score was calculated by weighting recommendations at 20% and AUM development at 80%.
